Lead the technology organization at Homebase, owning platform strategy, infrastructure, and engineering execution. Have driven a 40% reduction in cloud infrastructure costs, scaled the product and engineering organization, and established data-driven reporting to support operational decision-making across the business.

Founded a software studio based in Eberswalde, serving clients in the Berlin area. Engagements span CTO-as-a-Service, custom software development, IT infrastructure advisory, and hands-on operational training (e.g. database backup strategies), alongside in-house product development.

Led 6 cross-functional engineering teams (~24 engineers) and drove the migration from CRUD-based microservices to an event-driven DDD/CQRS architecture. Designed 'The Kraken' for zero-downtime live data sync between legacy and new systems.

Managed a cross-functional product team focused on lead qualification and scheduling systems while stabilizing the core PHP monolith during the early phases of microservice adoption. Mentored multiple engineers into leadership and specialist roles.

Oversaw all non-mobile development teams including product engineers and DevOps, managed workload distribution and roadmap planning, and served as single point of contact for BNP Paribas Real Estate Germany.

Took on architectural decisions and deployment ownership while maintaining a dynamic white-label website system for real estate agents. Introduced semi-automated GitLab CI/CD deployment flows and transitioned into an informal leadership role.

Started as a trainee and grew into a full stack developer, leading the development of a dynamic real estate website product. Introduced GitLab CI, Docker-based deployments, and mentored working students who later joined full-time.

Contributed to a custom CMS built with CakePHP for real estate content delivery and took ownership of a SOAP-based content-distribution product.

Developed custom client websites using WordPress and co-built a lightweight in-house PHP framework to accelerate project delivery, translating designer mockups into responsive web solutions.

As the studio's first engineer, owned the full technical stack, hand-coding the founder's Adobe Photoshop designs into client websites and keeping the servers and IT running. Continued building out the in-house PHP framework started during the internship, extending it with new functionality on every client project.

As a self-taught intern, set up the company's first servers and started an in-house framework, built with HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, and Smarty, that its client websites ran on.
